At our club we pride ourselves on supplying something different to the usual Breakfast and After school Club with a strong emphasis on creative arts. We change our activities daily, with themes tailored around the ideas from the children that are put forward and developing during their planning sessions. We believe our activities should reflect your childrens interests and because of this we have club monitors and regular child and staff meetings to ensure our club is enjoyable and stimulating for every child.
Our team consists of three level 3 qualified staff we work hard to create a safe and warm environment where the children are encouraged to make friends.
We start the day of the right way; with a wide range of activities and special themed morning, the fun is endless. Breakfast is a social occasion at the club and many of our children eat together choosing between cereal, toast, bagels, fresh fruit and cartons of milk. We offer free choice and organised games to end the morning session. We also take extra care of our foundation children by taking them five minutes early to class by a member of our team who settles them and passes on any information to their teachers.
In our Afterschool Club we always like to offer wide variety of activities, all chosen by the children.
We regularly hold special sessions such as ‘Around the World Day’ and ‘Lost City Day’ all tailored to challenge and encourage interaction. We are also very lucky to have access to two playgrounds, a field and woodland school. We have lots of outdoor time including bug hunts, orienteering and den making.
Healthy eating is important to us and is taken into consideration during every teatime; we usually offer a light snack such as wraps, vegetables, tuna and fresh fruit.
We are also committed to celebrating diversity and culture and often have food tasting sessions involving lots of different countries; we pride ourselves on helping the children explore different cultures.
Here at Arnold View Breakfast and Afterschool Club we like to work as a team with lots of our planning concentrating on teamwork as well as individual hobbies.
